Operating since 1977 under the legal name New School for Child Development, this organization runs nine state-certified nonpublic day schools (including Village Glen) as part of The Help Group, serving children through young adults with autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and emotional/behavioral challenges. The Help Group also provides mental health therapy, vocational training, arts and recreation programs, and supportive residential living, serving roughly 25,000 individuals annually across multiple Los Angeles-area sites.
