Jenesse's mission is to restore families impacted by domestic and sexual violence through holistic, trauma informed, culturally responsive services, and advance prevention initiatives that foster and sustain healthy, violence free communities.
Founded in 1980, Jenesse Center provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive, holistic services to survivors and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Programs include emergency and transitional shelter (30 days up to two years), mental health counseling, independent life skills classes, computer training, job referrals, after-school programs for children, tutoring, field trips, and direct legal services. Also operates a 40-hour domestic violence training program.
