Homelessness is a solvable problem, addressed through comprehensive services that help people survive the street, start feeling well, engage in meaningful activities, and get and stay housed.
Founded in 1985, Homeless Health Care Los Angeles (HHCLA) has served more than 200,000 marginalized and impoverished individuals through street-based outreach (including overdose reversal and harm reduction supplies), behavioral and primary health care, wound care, psychiatric care, syringe exchange and overdose prevention at its Center for Harm Reduction, opioid addiction treatment with buprenorphine, community centers offering meals, showers, laundry, and computer/WiFi access, housing placement case management and move-in assistance, and job training and placement services.
