Dignity and Power Now (DPN) is a Los Angeles-based, Black and Brown-led grassroots organization founded in 2012, grounded in prison abolition, community healing, and transformative justice. Programs include mutual aid (household, hygiene, baby items, and back-to-school essentials for families impacted by incarceration), the Forever Rooted 7-week leadership program for formerly incarcerated people, a Community Care Healing Program (therapy, massage, yoga, acupuncture), family support meetings, and policy/organizing campaigns such as Project Stop the Line and JusticeLA Virtual Action.
