Committed to ending domestic and sexual violence in Asian Pacific Islander (API) communities by breaking through language, cultural, and institutional barriers.
CPAF operates a 24-hour multilingual crisis helpline (available in roughly 30 API languages) fielding over 4,000 calls annually, and a 45-bed emergency shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence, providing over 5,000 bed nights per year. Services include safety planning and danger assessment, resident and non-resident counseling, peer support and sexual violence counseling, legal referrals for protective orders and family court, transitional housing, children's services including school liaison and onsite schooling, job placement, health and wellness programs, and community education workshops. CPAF opened the first multilingual, multicultural domestic violence shelter in the nation specializing in API survivors.
