African American Community Healing fosters a vibrant, cohesive community that embraces and respects individuals across generations, nurturing and empowering through programs focused on mental health, wellness, and educational growth.

Founded by Darnell 'Moe' Washington, a former San Quentin Coalition for Justice president who discovered yoga and meditation's healing power during a 26-year incarceration, AACH offers summer camps for kids, yoga and mindfulness instruction, art classes, mental health classes and referrals to psychiatric/mental health specialists, restorative justice facilitation, and community healing circles. The organization also helps incarcerated individuals access legal counsel to help ensure equitable treatment.
