Mobilizes a national network of volunteer tutors to provide free, one-on-one online tutoring and mentorship to 2nd-6th grade students from underserved communities.
Step Up Tutoring pairs trained volunteer tutors, supported by AI-powered learning software and a research-based curriculum, with elementary/middle school students for twice-weekly online sessions in math or reading. The program partners with LAUSD and has delivered 250,000+ tutoring hours to 8,300+ students from low-income communities.
