Step Up delivers compassionate support to people experiencing serious mental health issues, and persons who are experiencing chronic homelessness, to help them recover, stabilize, and integrate into the community.

Step Up, headquartered in Santa Monica, has provided psychosocial rehabilitation and support since 1984 and has housed more than 7,500 individuals and families through its permanent supportive housing programs. Services include supportive housing development and operation, mental health care with psychiatrist and nurse home visits for medication support, supported employment training, coping skills development, and community integration. It serves Los Angeles, Monterey, Sacramento, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties in California, with additional programs in Georgia and Tennessee, including services for transition-age youth and veterans.
