Soroptimist International of the Americas is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment, focusing on those facing significant barriers such as poverty, violence, or lack of access to education.

This is a local Soroptimist club serving the Los Angeles area, chartered under Soroptimist International of the Americas. Volunteer members run the Live Your Dream Awards, providing cash grants to women who are the primary financial support for their families to help them pursue education and job training, and Dream It, Be It, a career-readiness program for high school-age girls. Clubs meet regularly, fundraise, and dedicate volunteer time and resources to improving the lives of women and girls locally and globally.
