Founded in 1946, the Auxiliary is a volunteer fundraising group supporting hospitalized children at Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach. It has contributed more than $18 million to pediatric care over its history, funding equipment such as an ECMO heart-lung machine. Activities include operating the hospital gift shop, an annual designer fashion show, a monthly Birthday Club that delivers gifts to hospitalized children on their birthdays, and Child Life program support.
