With dignity and respect, MEND's mission is to meet the immediate needs of individuals and families and strengthen their capacity to thrive.

MEND is the largest poverty agency in the San Fernando Valley, providing emergency food and clothing, medical, vision, and dental care, job skills training and placement assistance, English as a Second Language classes, and youth activities. Programs include Community Nourishment (weekly produce and pantry staples), Here We Thrive case management, Hope and Care mental health and homeless services, First Step services for unhoused individuals, and a farmers' market.
