Founded in 2019, Liberty Community Land Trust is Los Angeles' only Black-led and Black-community-focused community land trust. It manages 14 properties with 129 total units (120 permanently affordable homes) and 9 commercial/community spaces in Leimert Park Village, offers renters' rights workshops and housing-justice advocacy, and operates The Umoja Center as its headquarters and community gathering space, serving South LA including Leimert Park, Crenshaw, Baldwin Hills, Van Nuys, and Harbor Gateway.
