J.W. Anthony Youth and Family Outreach identifies, captures, and nurtures the potential of underserved youth and their families in South Los Angeles and Inglewood, enhancing academic and personal well-being in collaboration with universities and community agencies.

Established in 1999 and led by principal officer Barbara Rhodes, J.W. Anthony Youth and Family Outreach runs a Teen Mentor Program, a first-generation college-student mentoring partnership with the DuBois-Hamer Institute, Saturday school and summer leadership residential programs, HIV/AIDS education and tobacco-cessation programming, homeless advocacy, healthy-foods community health initiatives, and scholarships/emergency tuition assistance for underserved youth and families in South Los Angeles and Inglewood. The organization funds by invitation only and does not accept unsolicited proposals.
