Through art, Free Arts helps children in Los Angeles who have experienced abuse, poverty, neglect, and/or homelessness find hope, resiliency, and self-esteem.
Founded in 1977, Free Arts is one of the oldest arts-based healing organizations in LA County, providing art programs (drawing, painting, movement, music) to children ages 5-18 who have experienced trauma, including foster youth and children in underserved communities and hospitals. The organization serves more than 22,000 children annually with the help of over 225 volunteers.
