Braille Institute Of America Inc

Braille Institute is a nonprofit that has been positively transforming the lives of individuals with blindness and low vision for over 100 years.

Braille Institute provides free programs and services for people who are blind or have low vision, funded almost entirely by private donations. Services include low vision consultations, adjustment counseling, support groups, free classes, and library and braille book services, delivered through seven Southern California centers and remote programming. It also runs youth programs such as the Braille Challenge and Cane Quest, and served 14,710 individuals in fiscal year 2025.
