Founded in 1989 by opera singer Versie Mae Richardson and community partners, Alkebu-Lan Cultural Center is the only African American cultural center in the San Gabriel Valley, offering year-round art-based educational enrichment for underserved students including African drumming, African dance, hip hop, and other classes at 1435 N. Raymond Ave, Pasadena.
