Abound Food Care

To create local food care ecosystems by empowering food generators (restaurants, grocery stores, hotels, distributors, growers) to safely recover and donate excess edible food to people facing food insecurity, reducing food waste in the process.

Abound Food Care operates an edible food recovery program that partners with restaurants, grocers, hotels, distributors, and growers to divert surplus food from landfills and deliver it to food-insecure communities. Services include enhanced procurement support, food resource recovery, donation logistics coordination, use of repurposing kitchens, and data collection for food recovery programs, including work with the City of Santa Ana's edible food recovery program.
