Village Movement California

Village Movement California supports and grows a statewide network of community-based villages that help older Californians age better in their own homes and communities through connection, caregiving support, and advocacy.

Village Movement California is a statewide nonprofit headquartered in Huntington Beach that supports a network of about 50 volunteer-driven 'villages' across California, including Orange County. Villages are member-led communities that give older adults peer connection, volunteer help, programs and resources so they can age in place. The organization offers a Village Incubator and Accelerator for new villages, caregiving and dementia support resources, advocacy and policy work, research, a members portal, volunteerism programs, and an annual statewide conference. Residents can use the Find Your Local Village tool to join or volunteer with a village near them.
