Rescue and rehabilitate animals most at risk of euthanasia from public shelters, providing safe housing until they find forever homes.
The Tygenhof Animal Refuge is a husband-and-wife foster-based rescue that partners with local animal shelters (such as OC Animal Care) to rescue stray, abandoned, and injured animals most at risk of euthanasia. All animals come through the public shelter system; the refuge does not accept animals from private individuals. It relies on community donations, and fostered animals are adopted out through partner shelters.
