The City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board (WDB), successor to the Workforce Investment Board of the City of Los Angeles, annually manages roughly $100 million in funds to build the LA economy and improve quality of life community-wide. Programs include LA:RISE (LA Regional Initiative for Social Enterprise), which connects individuals with significant employment barriers to jobs through social enterprises and supportive services; BusinessSource Centers helping local businesses and entrepreneurs; ProcureLA, which helps small businesses access City contracts; the Legacy Business Program supporting deep-rooted small businesses; and AdvantAGE LA, a plan supporting equitable employment access for older workers.
