To bring friendship and inclusion to children and young adults with special needs through social, recreational, and educational programs, and to offer support and respite to their families.
Friendship Circle of Orange County, formed in 1984, serves roughly 200 families through programs including Soccer Stars, Basketball Buddies, tennis, dance, a Culinary Academy, an Art Therapy Studio, occupational therapy, a Snoezelen multi-sensory room, summer/winter camps, and family-support events such as Mom's Night Out. Programs are staffed largely by teen and young-adult volunteer mentors.
