The Chrysalis Center

Chrysalis is a nonprofit changing lives through jobs, helping people navigating homelessness and other barriers to the workforce prepare for, find, and retain employment.

Founded in 1984, Chrysalis provides a job-readiness program, individualized case management, and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness or facing barriers to employment. Its employment social enterprise operates businesses that offer clients time-limited, paid transitional work experience, a model in place since 1991. Chrysalis serves Los Angeles and Orange Counties and the Inland Empire from centers in Downtown LA, Santa Monica, Pacoima, Anaheim, Colton, and Chrysalis at DOORS in South LA.
