The California Land Conservancy

Facilitates the acquisition and donation of private property for the purpose of permanent conservation by purchase or development mitigation.

A 501(c)(3) public charity, tax-exempt since 2001, that facilitates transfer of private lands to conservation status, largely resulting in public ownership by agencies such as the State of California, County of Orange, and regional transportation corridor agencies. A member of the Land Trust Alliance.
