Dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's ocean, waves, and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network.

Founded in 1984 in Malibu, CA, the Surfrider Foundation is now headquartered in San Clemente, CA and maintains over 50,000 members and 250+ grassroots chapters and student clubs worldwide. The organization works on ocean and coastal protection issues including clean water, plastic pollution reduction, and beach access through advocacy, science, and community activism.
