Assists stroke survivors and family members in optimizing quality of life and health through education and support groups.
Long Beach nonprofit serving stroke survivors and their family members/caregivers for over 40 years. Offers weekly peer support groups (in-person Tuesdays in Long Beach, online via Zoom on Wednesdays) facilitated by trained volunteers who are mental health or stroke professionals. Each 12-week cycle includes an educational presentation or workshop from an outside health specialist on topics such as fall prevention, exercise after stroke, advance directives, and aphasia/apraxia of speech.
