Shamrock Rescue Foundation offers another chance to animals whose luck has run out, especially senior dogs surrendered to shelters by their families, providing care, nurturing and rehabilitation until they find their forever homes.
Shamrock Rescue Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) dog rescue (not a shelter) that saves many senior dogs surrendered to area shelters. Dogs receive veterinary exams, blood work, microchips, spay/neuter, treatment for medical issues and basic or advanced training before adoption. Adoption fees are $200 per dog; the process includes an application, meeting the dog, a home check and an adoption contract, with dogs seen by appointment only. The rescue also seeks foster homes and monthly donors.
