To promote the study and appreciation of Indian classical music in Southern California through quality instruction in instrumental, percussion, and vocal music.

Established in 1986 as a 501(c)(3), the school focuses on raag (melody) and taal (rhythm) traditions of Indian classical music, offering instrumental, percussion, and vocal instruction, and brings world-class artists to the region for workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and concerts.
