Orange County Head Start

Santa Ana, CA · Orange County · Education

Orange County Head Start (OCHS) delivers Head Start and Early Head Start services — early education, health, nutrition, and family support — to pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers throughout Orange County, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Founded in 1979, OCHS is a federally-funded 501(c)(3) partnering with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to serve over 3,000 pregnant mothers, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and families across Orange County. Programs include Head Start (ages 3-5) and Early Head Start (ages 0-3), offering education, health screenings, nutrition, free meals and diapers, and family support/training, with priority for homeless families, families in foster care, families at or below the poverty line, and children with disabilities. Online applications are available in English and Spanish.
