Open Gate International (OGI) is a Costa Mesa nonprofit founded by Deidre after she heard survivors of human trafficking and other exploitation during travels in 2016 and saw a gap in job training and workforce integration. Its Open Kitchen program offers accredited culinary training, life skills development, and job placement for people from vulnerable life situations, including survivors and people reentering society after incarceration, with the aim of reducing recidivism. Open Mind raises public awareness of why such support matters, and Open Home extends opportunities internationally (including Moldova).
