Uses skateboarding to mentor underserved youth, teaching life skills, leadership, and encouraging higher education and career advancement.
Next Up Foundation offers an alternative to traditional after-school programs through skateboarding: twice-weekly sessions at a local skate park led by volunteer mentors, character-building lessons, tutoring and college preparation help, career workshops, field trips to action sports companies, and equipment, shoes and clothing as needed. It serves mostly low-income and at-risk young people of all backgrounds. Volunteers can mentor or help with promotion and fundraising.
