Mariposa Health Initiative is a volunteer-led community wellness group founded in 2024. It addresses medical misinformation and the lack of cultural competency between doctors and patients, helping community members facing language barriers, medical myths and limited health education get care. Its work includes wellness and preventive-care education and a mental health program, Talk and Thrive (est. November 2025), which combines professional mental health insights with open conversation on academic and workplace stress, digital anxiety and family dynamics.
