Los Angeles Waterkeeper

For more than three decades, Los Angeles Waterkeeper has served as LA's water watchdog, safeguarding inland and coastal waters using law, science, and community action, and fighting for sustainable, equitable, and climate-friendly water supplies.

Los Angeles Waterkeeper runs interconnected Pollution Prevention, Systems Change, and Healthy Habitats programs, including the River Assessment Field Team (RAFT), a community-science volunteer program on the LA River, and MPA Watch, an on-the-water marine protected area monitoring program, alongside advocacy for wastewater recycling and integrated ('OneWater') water management.
