Founded in 1921, the Los Angeles Urban League is an affiliate of the National Urban League working to promote economic empowerment and civil rights in Los Angeles' African American and underserved communities. Programs include workforce development and job training (including an Automotive Training Center), entrepreneurship and small-business support, Head Start and State Preschool early childhood education, housing and community development, and health and quality-of-life services.
