Promotes the enjoyment and protection of birds and other wildlife in the Los Angeles area through outdoor education, bird-friendly activities, and hands-on conservation and habitat restoration.

Los Angeles Audubon Society runs habitat restoration, bird observation, and youth education programs, including monthly bird walks at Topanga State Park, Franklin Canyon, Ballona Wetlands, and Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, plus expert presentations on birds and wildlife. Its Environmental Leadership Program pairs high school students with biologists and restoration ecologists in after-school internships. Community science initiatives include snowy plover beach monitoring, the Breeding Bird Atlas, and participation in iNaturalist and eBird.
