To provide continued support of the equine world through education and demonstrations of good horsemanship, and to participate in parades representing the City of Long Beach and the Long Beach Police Department.
Long Beach Mounted Police is a volunteer nonprofit troop organized in 1935 that rides in local, regional, and international parades (including presidential inaugural parades) representing the City of Long Beach and LBPD. Members contribute over 8,000 volunteer hours annually at charitable and educational events and fund equine veterinary scholarships.
