Adult Literacy Services provides free one-on-one and small-group tutoring for adults who want to improve their basic reading, writing, or English-language (ESL) skills.
Literacy Volunteers-HBPL, an accredited affiliate of ProLiteracy America operating through the Huntington Beach Public Library, has provided free adult literacy and ESL tutoring since 1984. Volunteer tutors work one-on-one or in small groups with adult learners on basic reading, writing, and English skills, with pathways to a GED/HiSET and Career Online High School diploma.
