To be a lighthouse of volunteers fighting poverty and restoring hope by alleviating hunger, food insecurity, and the suffering of those who have fallen on hard times.
Founded in 1993, Heart of Compassion Distribution is a 501(c)(3) food bank and social service organization that collects, packages, and distributes food to low-income communities through weekly public food distributions (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a network of partner service agencies. Beyond food distribution, the organization serves as a hub offering transitional housing, occupational training, and vocational rehabilitation for people rebuilding their lives.
