CAIR-CA works to enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims through civil rights advocacy, legal services, government affairs, and community education.

The Civil Rights team provides legal representation for discrimination and hate-crime cases; the Immigrants' Rights team offers free or low-cost immigration legal services for immigrants and refugees; also conducts Know Your Rights workshops and public education on Islamophobia and civil rights.
