Canoga Owensmouth Historical Society

Identifies and preserves the history of the area originally known as Owensmouth, now Canoga Park, in the West San Fernando Valley.

Founded in 1988, the Canoga-Owensmouth Historical Society operates a small museum housed in a 1930s building originally built for Los Angeles Fire Station #72. Its collection includes photographs, books, pamphlets, documents, artifacts, and oral histories documenting the West San Fernando Valley. The museum is open the second and fourth Sundays of each month, 2-4pm, and by special request.
