Bug Angels is a Huntington Beach nonprofit that fights loneliness and isolation, especially among seniors and adults with autism. Trained volunteers provide in-person or virtual visits, scheduled phone or video check-ins, and pen-pal programs. It also offers support groups, interest matching and buddy systems, personalized comfort kits, art therapy, journaling and craft activities, and community events such as Bug Picnics and intergenerational game days. Volunteers are trained in compassionate communication, autism sensitivity and elder care.
