Blind Start Of America

BLINDSTART's mission is to help the blind and deaf cross finish lines by creating inclusive athletic events that bring together blind, visually impaired, sighted, and deaf participants.

BLINDSTART is an adaptive sports and community organization founded in 2006 by visually impaired entrepreneur Brian Tom. It organizes inclusive athletic events -- including dragon boat racing and mud runs -- for blind, visually impaired, sighted, and deaf participants, and in 2018 became the first American adaptive team to represent the USA in international dragon boat competition.
