To deliver nutritious, affordable hot meals to Altadena residents — especially seniors — who are unable to cook or shop for themselves, supporting independence, recovery, and well-being for those aging in place or facing health challenges.
Altadena Meals on Wheels (AMOW) is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) that has delivered hot meals Monday through Friday to Altadena residents unable to cook or shop for themselves since 1973, with an emphasis on homebound seniors. The organization resumed deliveries after being displaced by the January 2025 Eaton Fire.
