TreePeople's mission is to inspire, engage, and support people to take personal responsibility for the environment, making it safe, healthy, fun, and sustainable.

TreePeople runs community tree planting and tree care events in neighborhoods, parks, and mountains across Southern California. It operates a native plant nursery, restores wildlands and burn scars, and stewards more than 3,000 acres including its headquarters park in the Santa Monica Mountains. The organization provides environmental education for students, helps create green schoolyards, and advocates for nature-based policies on urban forestry and stormwater capture.
