MYART provides young people of all skill levels the opportunity to actively participate in the performing arts, supplementing their education through musical theater training in voice, acting, and dance.
Founded in 1989 by Dana Hanstein-Hanlen and a small board of volunteers, Musical Youth Artist Repertory Theatre (MYART) is a community-based nonprofit educational theater company based in Long Beach serving LA and Orange County youth. Its first production, 'Annie,' had 97 participants performed at CSULB. MYART offers after-school programs, workshops, and summer camps so that every young person who registers has the opportunity to perform.
