The Immigrant Genealogical Society (IGS) is a Burbank, CA nonprofit founded in 1982 that helps researchers trace family origins in German-speaking Europe and Eastern Europe (including Pomerania, Poland, Silesia, Moravia, and Russia). IGS maintains a physical library of genealogy resources in English and German, offers membership with newsletters and events, hosts 'Second Sunday' online discussion meetings, and provides remote research assistance and personal heritage tours.
