To combat veteran isolation and build stronger peer-to-peer support networks by connecting veterans, service members, and their families through video games, digital communities, and esports.
ALG (American Legion Gaming) Veterans & Video Games Foundation, based in Pacific Palisades, CA, uses video games as a platform to address veteran isolation and mental health challenges while building peer support communities. Grown from a 2018 partnership between The American Legion, Stack Up, and Regiment Gaming, the foundation equips veterans' homes and American Legion posts with gaming systems, hosts inter-home gaming tournaments, and provides pathways into tech and gaming careers.
