99 Neighborhoods Network fosters connectivity across Los Angeles neighborhoods through community-driven placemaking, building resilient community hubs that serve as gathering places and centers for human connection, including shelter during extreme climate events.

99NN organizes event-based, place-based, and map/story-based neighborhood networks across LA County, centered at and around schools, libraries, housing, and transportation corridors to ensure equitable access. Initiatives include sustainable mobility toward zero-emission transportation corridors and transit hubs, heat island reduction through urban cooling and nature-based solutions, stormwater capture via green infrastructure, and greenscaping of underutilized spaces, amid pressures from housing demand, wildfire recovery, and climate change.
