To improve the quality of life within our local communities through education, health and wellness, economic opportunities, and the provision of leadership and mentoring.
100 Black Men of Long Beach, Inc. mentors young men from as early as age five through high school, aiming to develop them into college-bound young men, via the Growth Mindset Shift mentorship program. Additional programs include the Summer Literacy Academy (in partnership with Christ Second Baptist Church and UCLA), the Wells Fargo Stock Market Game for financial literacy, and the Droppin' Ink writing and communication initiative. The chapter is part of the national 100 Black Men of America network.
