Long Beach Local

To develop and maintain farmland in an urban setting to grow crops and offer the public fresh and healthy food choices, while educating the community about organic farming and advocating for equitable food policies.

Long Beach Local operates Farm Lot 59, a working urban farm in the Long Beach/Signal Hill area that grows organic vegetables and rare flower varieties. The organization provides fresh produce to food-insecure Long Beach residents, hosts low- or no-cost educational programming on sustainable agriculture and organic gardening for adults and youth, and runs a monthly farmstand selling farm-grown flowers and produce.
