Action Sports Kids (ASK) Foundation provides youth an alternative to the streets and gangs through sports, education, and community involvement.
Founded in 2011 by Mike Donelon (who helped open nine Long Beach skate parks starting in 1996), ASK Foundation runs the Long Beach Skate Park Program for at-risk youth ages 3-25, including skate tours, community clean-up projects, skateboarding competitions, and skateboarding lessons for autistic youth, reporting success in lowering crime and keeping members in school.
